Michael Thomas Kirkland, 53, of Sumner, Ill., died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital.

He was a supervisor at Jabat Inc. in Olney, Ill., and a member of Church of God in Chauncey, Ill.

Survivors include his father, Thomas Edison Kirkland; his wife, Susan (Wright) Kirkland; a son, Shawn (Stephanie) Kirkland; a daughter, Misty Kirkland; and two sisters, Debra Rosborough and Donna Strom.

Services at Chauncey Church of God. Burial: Chauncey Cemetery.
