JOHN STEVEN PROVINES,  60, of Olney died Tuesday January 8, 2013 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Burial in Crest Haven Cemetery.

John  was born on June 22, 1952 in Olney, Illinois, the son of Jack E. and Mary Jo (Amerman) Provines.

John was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Colts fan. He was very close to his special pet Lulabelle, a boston terrier dog. John was devoted to his Christian faith and was very close to Jesus. He was a truly loving and gentle soul and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Melissa McDaniel and husband Tony of Chicago, IL; Granddaughter, Sophie McDaniel; Mother, Jo Provines of Olney; Brother, Michael Provines of West Palm Beach, FL; Brother, Bradley Provines of New York City, NY
Close friend, Karl B. Daniels of New York City, NY; Longtime Special Friend, Laura Provines Martin of Mattoon, IL.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Percy and Helen Provines, his father, and special friend, Michelle Weisz.
