Russell Albert “AL” Knotts, 70, of Titusville, Florida, formerly of Shelbyville, TN went to his heavenly home on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Health First’s Cape Canaveral Hospital after an extended illness.  He was born November 15, 1952 in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late Quinton Carl Knotts & JoAnn McLerran. He was raised by his maternal grandparents, whom he loved and adored, the late Russell McLerran, Sr. and Mary McLerran in Olney, Illinois.

He worked as a supervisor in manufacturing in Old Fort, Ohio and Fulton, Missouri before moving to Shelbyville, TN, where he worked for O’Reilly Auto Parts as a Delivery Specialist. He recently transferred with O’Reilly Auto Parts to Titusville, FL.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Monce Knotts, two daughters: Ashleigh Knotts of Huntsville, AL and Mackenzie Knotts of Murfreesboro, TN. Also, eight brothers: Wayne (Bridgett) Knotts, Patrick (Dusty) Knotts, Christopher (Jacklyn) Knotts, and Jeffrey (Amber) Knotts, all of Texas. Rory (Fran) Knotts of Fayetteville, TN; Carleton (Vicki) Knotts of Titusville, FL, Kurt Knotts of Oviedo, FL and Kyle (Devon) Knotts of Owens Cross Roads, AL; step-mother Martha Knotts of Oviedo, FL and 22 nieces and nephews.

AL loved Classic vehicles, Ohio State football, yard sales, thrift stores, playing trivia and Bingo. He was always on the lookout for antique and rare items. He loved decorating and celebrating all holidays, especially Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter. Above all, he loved the Lord, his wife, daughters, brothers, family and church. He was always ready to lend a helping hand and make you smile. He was a devoted member of Fellowship for Christ Church in Shelbyville, TN and was recently attending Gateway Community Church in Titusville, FL.

A Memorial Service was held at Gateway Community Church, 2801 Tropic St., Titusville, FL.
