Stephen Allen "Summy" Shimkos, 45 of Topeka, Kan., formerly of Olney, died February 15, 1993 at his home.  Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Topeka, Kansas.

Mr. Shimkos was born Feb. 18, 1947 in Olney, the son of Stanley P. and Claudia C. (Fehrenbacher) Shimkos. He married Esther Navarrett Nov. 2, 1974 in Kansas City, Kan.

Mr. Shimkos was employed by the Sante Fe Railway for 21 years and was most recently a Claim Agent. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Topeka.

Mr. Shimkos is survived by his wife, Esther Shimkos of Topeka, Kan.; one son, Brian Douglas Shimkos at home; one daughter, Susie Shimkos at home; one brother, Paul "Danny" Shimkos of Okemos, Mich.; one sister, Susie Michael of Evansville, Ind.; mother and step-father, Claudia D. and Aubrey Larrouy of Olney and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Shimkos was preceded in death by his father.
