James F. Spitz, 41, Irving, Texas died September 12, 1988 in his home.  Burial in Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.

A former resident of Claremont, he was a 17-year resident of Irving and a production controller for Aviall Corporation. He was also a boy scout leader.

He was a Sgt. ~ U.S. Air Force ~ Vietnam.

Survivors include his wife, Gayle Spitz of Irving; two sons, Christopher and James Patrick and a daughter, Ashley Spitz all of Irving; his mother, Kathryn Spitz of Claremont; a brother, John Spitz of Bridgeport; four sisters, Libby Deimel of O'Fallon and Evelyn Deimel, Barb Leaf and Carol Sue Spitz all of Springfield; and his grandmother, Margaret Schonert of Claremont.

He was preceded in death by his father, Verner Spitz.
