Michael Summers, 72, of Olney, passed away on Friday, August 24, 2018 in Olney, IL. Mike was born on April 7, 1946 in Olney, IL, the son of Howard and Vernice Elvira (Dusch) Summers. He would later marry Paula (Roadman) and she preceded him in death on December 10, 2014.

Mike served in the Marine Corps in Vietnam in the 1st Combat Engineers Battalion. He was a life member of the VFW, a member of the Olney Elks, and a member of Ducks Unlimited.

Mike is survived by his son, Jason Howard Summers; daughter, Leann Summers-Patrick; daughter, Julie Summers-Enoch; son, Rex Allen Summers; close friend, Carol Vaughn Schafer.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Cremation Rites were accorded. A scattering of his ashes will take place in Colorado at a later date.
