Kathy was one of my very good friends throughout High School in Olney. Kind, caring, compassionate and so insightful. About five years ago, I was in Olney visiting my Mother and we stopped by the Gift Shop at Richland Memorial and there was Kathy. (Because I volunteer in the Gift Shop at our Hospital here in Lawrence, KS we immediately had a common bond) It had been almost 50 years and we both never missed a beat....knew each other immediately and our conversation was so natural, yet sincere.. What a very special lady! It was indeed, my honor and pleasure to know her and call her my friend. My deepest sympathies to her family and those closest to her.
