Larry McVaigh, age 66, of Ellery, IL passed into Eternity on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Wayfair Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Fairfield, IL.  A graveside service held at Graceland Cemetery in Albion with military rites.

Larry was born October 31, 1946 in Parkersburg, IL to Grace (Newberry) and Roy McVaigh. He married Shirley Adams on November 15, 1974 at the Conway United Methodist Church.

Larry was a loving husband and father.He  was a Veteran who served his country during the Vietnam War. After he returned home, he managed the Shell service station on the Albion square for several years and also worked at Champion Laboratories. He was a member of the Conway United Methodist Church and served as an officer on the Ellery Water Corporation Board during its organizational period.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Eugene and Robert, an infant sister, and an infant son, Jason.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley of Ellery, IL, daughters, Sarah McVaigh of Fairfield, IL, and Rachel (Blake) Turpin of Carbondale, IL. He is also survived by 3 sisters: Rosemary Ellen Gustin, WI, Betty Lee McVaigh, GA, Leona Mae Kline, IN and 2 brothers: Roy Vernon McVaigh, IL, and Donald Rex McVaigh, IL.
