Danny R. Grove, 76, of Olney, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.  Danny was born March 9, 1945 in Olney to Ohmer Grove and Marie (Rottinghaus). He married Marilyn (Millspaugh) on August 24, 1968 at First Presbyterian Church in Olney.

Danny worked for AMF/Roadmaster for 20 years and then he moved to food management for Pizza Hut and most recently McDonalds, where he enjoyed serving the people of Richland County. Danny took pleasure in following the sporting activities of his grandchildren. You could always count on him wearing orange and black on Fridays to support local sports. He took pride in taking care of the lawn and landscaping at his house. Danny will be missed by his friends and family and all those that were served by him.

Danny is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marilyn Grove of Olney; son, Tony Grove and wife Bel of Marion, IL; daughter, Lori Uhl and husband Mike of Olney; son, Tim Grove and wife Monica of Olney; grandchildren, Taylor Grove, Jenna Grove, Evan Uhl, Claire Uhl, Connor Grove, and Sophia Grove; twin sister, Diana Schmidt and husband Gene of Olney; brothers-in-law, Ron Millspaugh and Jim Millspaugh and wife Connie; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Billy Grove, Larry Grove, and Bob Grove.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Free Methodist Church in Olney. Visitation will be Friday, February 11, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney.

Interment will follow services in Crest Haven Memorial Park.
