John Phillips Wortman, 67 passed away Friday,  August 13, 1999 in Lyon County, Nevada. Burial in Dayton Cemetery, Dayton, Nevada.

John was born December 31, 1931 in Bluford, Illinois,  son of Reverend Henry W. and Mary A. (Adams) Wortman. In 1980 he married Charlotte Rose McEachin in Stateline, Nevada.

John is survived by his wife, Charlotte; two brothers, William Wortman and David Wortman and two sisters, Ruth Butterfield and Mary Lou Cole.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mary Wortman.
