Hal Eugene Prichard

Hal Eugene Prichard, 69, of Decatur died Friday Nov. 23, 2001 in his home.  Services in Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes.  Private family graveside services in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Riverton.

Hal was born April 16, 1932, in Grayville, a son of Louie Hort and Edith Ruth Mason Prichard.

He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He graduated from Millikin University and the University of Illinois with a master's degree. Hal was a teacher, coach, and the athletic director at Stephen Decatur High School for many years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Hal married Sara A. Steele June 8, 1952, in Olney Surviving are his wife; children, Mark Prichard and wife Patty of Somonauk; Gaye Bunch and husband Richard of Decatur; Scott Prichard and wife Kathy of Joliet; grandchildren, Kristin Buttz and husband Darin of Decatur; Kyle Borders of Decatur; Kelli Prichard and Brianne Prichard, both of Joliet; mother, Ruth Prichard of Olney.

Hal was preceded in death by his father, Hort Prichard.
