Shirley Sanderson, 57, formerly of Olney died Monday October 16, 1989 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, Ill.  Services at Zirkle Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Prater presiding. Burial at Crest Haven Memorial Park.

Mrs. Sanderson was born in Olney September 2, 1932, the daughter of Harry and Elsie (Green) Johnson. She married Archie Sanderson January 11, 1952 in Olney and he survives.

She was a past employee of Illinois Gas Company. From 1969-1975 she worked for the City of Olney during which time she served as Deputy Clerk and City Clerk. In 1979 she moved to Springfield where she worked for the Springfield Greater Chamber of Commerce.

She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, is a son, Archie R., Jr., Champaign, Ill.; a sister, Joyce Mason, Parkersburg; her parents, Harry and Elsie Johnson, Olney and two grandchildren.
