Beulah Creed (Lomas)

B. Maxine Lomas, 66, Greeley, Colorado died Saturday, October 3, 1998, at Hospice of Northern Colorado Inpatient Unit in Greeley, Colo.  Funeral services at the Adamson Memorial West Chapel in Greeley, Colo. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greeley.

Mrs. Lomas was born July 3, 1932, in Lawrence County, the daughter of Chris and Dona Irene (Keneipp) Creed. She married Dewane M. Lomas March 2, 1951 in Olney. He preceded her in death July 24, 1987.

Mrs. Lomas was reared and educated in Olney. She graduated from East Richland High School. They lived in Olney until 1972, when they moved to Greeley. She and her husband owned and operated the Lomas Insurance Agency. After the death of her husband, she continued to operate the insurance agency until 1988, when it sold to Flood and Peterson Insurance in Greeley.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Olney and a member of Insurance Women of Greeley and Scroll & Fan.

She is survived by, a daughter, Joan Lomas of Denver, Colo.; mother, Dona Creed of Greeley; two brothers, Jimmy Creed of Oak Park, Ill, and Dr. M. Robert Creed of Greeley, Colo.; two sisters Beatrice Allred of Huntsville, Ala. and Donna Anderson of Vernal, Utah; and several nieces and nephews.
