Janet Jan Coen (Wikoff)

Kathryn Janet Coen Wikoff, 82 of Bradenton Florida passed away on Dec. 15, 2014 in Sarasota Memorial Hospital.

Janet was born in Olney Illinois on October 21, 1932 to Helen Coen and Barney E. Coen.

She attended Washington University where she gained the distinction of Captain of the Washington University Sailing Club. She also attended Millikin University where she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority.

Janet had many hobbies, including gardening, canning and cooking. She had a love of the arts and was a talented artist. She had a great love for all animals great and small.

Surviving are her daughters, Kathy Wikoff Basnar and Camille Wikoff Franz, six grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

She leaves behind a loving partner of 32 years, William Young.

The family held a private memorial service in Florida to celebrate her life.

Kathy and Cami, so sorry to hear of your loss.  Glad she was able to meet all those grandbabies.  Small world- I married a guy fromSt Marie ( out in the country from Newton), He has 7 cousins they call the Lathrop boys.  They are not boys any more but the younger ones Mel and Kevin look alot like John.  Be sure to talk to your kids about all the good memories frequently.  In my prayers, JMichele
