Mildred L. Burget (Fritschle)

Mildred “Louise” (Burget) Fritschle, 89, of Olney, IL passed away on May 25, 2023 at StoneBridge Memory Care in Olney. Louise was born September 3, 1933 to Murl and Perna (Whipkey) Burget. She married Donald Eugene Fritschle on June 21, 1952. He survives.

In her early years, Louise worked at the Soda Fountain in Bower’s Drug Store, sold clothing at As You Like It, and eventually retired from Rural King. She was a dedicated farmwife who did it all. She helped move equipment to the fields, drove tractors, hauled grain to the elevator, fixed meals, ran errands, and at the same time raised three children. She was always cooking and baking something and will forever be remembered for her delicious coconut pies, homemade noodles, and butter horn rolls. Louise was a people person and loved socializing. She treasured her long talks with her childhood friend, Anna Mae Barber and her lunches with the Rural King ladies.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Olney.

Louise is survived by her son, Michael (Paula) Fritschle of Olney, IL and daughter, Karen (David) Read of Olney, IL; grandchildren, Dustin (Leigha) Fritschle of Mt Vernon, IN, Ashley (Jason) Clow of Pekin, IL, Kyle (Traci) Fritschle Evansville, IN, Andrew (Josh) Lodolo Indianapolis, IN, Nicole (Kyle) Strohl of Olney, IL and Megan (Ryan) Epperheimer of Olney. IL; great-grandchildren, Mason and Avery Fritschle, Layla and Hailey Clow, Ethan and Annabelle Fritschle, and Maddox Epperheimer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Steven Fritschle; and two brothers, Carroll and Leotis Burget.

A funeral service will be held for Louise at 11:00am on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney, with a visitation beginning one hour before the service.

Cremation Rites will be accorded following the service, with burial in Crest Haven Memorial Park at a later date.
