Mary Lillian Schmelzer, 49, Dundee, and formerly of Olney died October 19, 1983.  Services and burial were held in Dundee.

Mrs. Schmelzer was born in Kentucky, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Barrett. She married Frederick F. Schmelzer in Olney in 1952, and he survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Clay of Elgin and Clyde of Carbondale; two daughters, Paula Wilkins of Herdon, Va. and Peggy McCune of Huntley; a brother, Butch Barrett, Kentucky; a sister, Peggy of Texas; her parents and a grandson.

She was preceded in death by a child.
