Donald Ray Totten

Donald Ray Totten, 49, of Maypearl, Texas died Friday afternoon, May 3, 1991 as a result of an auto accident on south Rogers, just east of Interstate 35-E.

Totten was born in Olney, Illinois in 1941 and had moved to the Maypearl area in February 1981. He was a carpenter by trade and had worked in the construction business until his recent retirement which had been required by a growing business raising registered longhorn cattle and quarterhorses. He had several amateur rodeo championships in steer wrestling and saddle bronc riding, having won in 1974, 1977, and 1979.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Aitken Totten of Maypearl; two daughters, Kymberly Totten of North Palm Beach, Fla. and Angela Totten of Arlington; a son and daughter-in-law, Erik and Holly Totten of Maypearl; a grandson, Riley Cole Totten of Maypearl; two brothers, Tom Totten of Olney, Illinois and Jim Totten of Casey, Illinois; and his mother, Mrs. Dorothy Totten of Olney, Illinois.

Funeral services in Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Mark Lowrance of First United Methodist Church of Maypearl officiating. Interment in Maypearl Cemetery.
