Donald Gene Robinson, 82 years of Red Bud, IL, passed away on Saturday March 2, 2024 surrounded by his family in his home. He was born May 1, 1941, in Noble, IL in their home.

Don worked at Caterpillar in Joliet for six years and then he retired from Freeman United Coal Company Fidelity #11 near Du Quoin after twenty seven years. After retirement he joined Diana and helped her run Pumpkin Blossom Farm for another twenty seven years selling pumpkins and doing crafts together. When he wasn't working he enjoyed going camping, woodworking, playing corn hole, riding motorcycles, but most of all he loved spending time with family and friends that meant the world to him.

He is survived by his wife, Diana Robinson, his children, Jon (Cher) Robinson, Toby (Becky) Robinson, Tim Robinson, Aaron (Lynn) Robinson, and Shari (Marco) DeWeese, his step-son, Jeff (Angie) Luthy, his step-daughter, Lori (Shawn) Woods, his twenty three grandchildren, his twenty nine great-grandchildren, his sister, Barbara Phelps, his brother-in-law, Bill (Joyce) Schauete, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Dale Robinson, his mother, Hattie Elizabeth (Jackson) Robinson, his four siblings, aunts and uncles, his brother-in-law and his mother-in-law.

Memorial Visitation will be Saturday, March 9, 2024, 9:00 am - 11:00 am, at Leesman Funeral Home Red Bud, IL. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 11:00am with officiating.
