James Medell Neeley, 75, of Alhambra, Illinois, formerly of Olney passed away on June 22, 2015 at Alhambra.

James was born August 31, 1939 in Richland Co., IL to parents Joseph Byron and Vera Corinne (Jenkins) Neeley.

James was born two months premature due to mother's blood poisoning. James lived with physical infirmities all his life, however he was a phenomenal, loving, and caring individual who dealt with life and coped amazingly well. He was a member of Olney Free Methodist Church but attended services at the First Christian Church in Greenville.

He is survived by brother, Wayne E. Neeley of Washington, IN; sister, Ruth E. Combs and husband Charles of Greenville, Il; brother, Harold J. Neeley and wife Kathy of Olney;  sister, Ruby C. Chestnut of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; three nephews and three nieces, eight great nephews and three great nieces.

James was preceded in death by parents, niece Wynette M. Hostetter, and sister-in-law Sherry L. Neeley.

Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home, Olney with burial in Dundas Cemetery.
