Kenneth Wayne Madden

Kenneth W. "Kenny" Madden, 62, of Newton, died Thursday, July 24, 2003, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN.Funeral services with Reverand Dawn Linder officiating.  Burial in the Haven Hill Memorial Gardens in Olney.

Mr. Madden was born on June 23, 1941, in Richland County, the son of Melvin and Helen (Berry) Madden. He married Jean Dickerson on November 3, 1962. She survives.

He was a retired supervisor of construction for Norris Electric Company after 43 years of service. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Newton, IL. He was past president of the Jasper County Boys Park, a member of Newton Bass Club, a former member of Newton Jaycees, a member of Action Committee Rural Electric and a member of the Eagles Lodge. He loved hunting, fishing and boating.

Mr. Madden is survived by his wife Jean Madden of Newton; his father, Melvin Madden, of Olney; a son, Kevin Madden and his wife Sheryl, of Mt. Carmel; two grandsons, Carson and Chandler; two brothers, Doug Madden and Jeff Madden, both of Claremont; a sister, Nancy Madden, of Paxton; an aunt, Mary Holbrook, of Sarasota, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.
