Fred B. Hudson, 81, of Olney, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Cypress Grove Rehab Center in Newburgh, Indiana. Fred was born September 24, 1941 in Richland County, Illinois, the son of Asa Bushnell Hudson and Beatrice Maude (Gallagher). He married Linda Williams on August 19, 1966 in Calhoun, Illinois.

Fred loved hunting for antiques at flea markets, auctions, and garage sales. He always had a big garden and would sell his vegetables at his roadside stand. Fred also enjoyed deer hunting with friends and family. He loved entertaining the grandchildren and making them laugh. Fred worked for many years at AMF/Roadmaster, and after he retired, he drove cars for Eaglesons and drove a truck for FS. He served in the US Army during Vietnam.

He was a member of Calhoun Methodist Church.

Fred is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda Hudson of Olney; daughter, Amber Kocher and husband Darius of Claremont; daughter, Andrea Walston and husband Tim of Olney; daughter, Ashley Kuhn and husband Adam of Olney; grandchildren, Whitley (Heath) Houchin, Lexanna Kocher, Kensley Kocher, Langston Blank, Londyn Walston, Landry Walston, Ladsen Walston, Kadyn Kuhn, Hudson Kuhn, Kooper Kuhn, and Finley Kuhn; step-grandchildren, Derek (Andi) Kocher, Bev (Brian) Knaup, Wes Kocher, Aaron Kocher, and Jaxon Walston; great grandchildren, Ellie and Emmie Houchin, and Renleigh Walston; 6 step-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews; and beloved dog, Gabee.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Virginia L. Beal and Clorice M. Bafford.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney.

A funeral service for Fred will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney.  Interment will follow at Richland Cemetery located west of Calhoun, Illinois. Full Military Rites will be preformed at the graveside.
