J.C. Fisher, 32, of Paris, Edgar County, and formerly of Olney, died Thursday, January 18, 1974 following surgery at Mercy Hospital in Chicago.

He was a 1959 graduate of East Richland High School and for the past eight years has lived in Paris, where he was manager of the Montgomery Ward store.

He was born July 22, 1941 at Olney, son of the late J. Norvin Fisher and Mrs. Vena Shipley Fisher of Olney.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Bostic Fisher; two children, a son, John randall and daugher, Carol Jo Fisher of Kokomo, Ind.; his mother, Mrs. Vena Fisher, Olney; three sisters, Mrs. Richard (Lois) Eckiss, Mrs. Eugene (Karon) McVaigh and Mrs. Billy (Beth) VanMatre, all of Olney and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Shipley also of Olney.
