E. LaVerne (Weiler) Blackburn, 79, of Olney passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Burgin Manor in Olney.

LaVerne was born on March 5, 1935 in Richland County, IL, the daughter of August J. and Frances (Schneider) Weiler. She married L. Richard Blackburn on March 17, 1956 Decatur, IL. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney.

LaVerne is survived by her husband of nearly 58 years, Richard Blackburn of Olney; daughter, Karen Sue Edwards of Plainfield, IN; son, Dale R. Blackburn and wife, Cathleen of Redmond, WA; twin sons, James R. Blackburn and wife, Kelly and Jeffery N. Blackburn and wife, Amy, both of Laguna Hills, CA; son, Timothy J. Blackburn and husband, Ben Elowitz of Seattle, WA; brother, Jim Weiler and wife, Wanda of Olney; sister, Margaret Kocher and husband, Ralph of Olney; sister, Barb Lewis of Clyde, NC; brother, Henry Weiler of Kankakee, IL; brother, Elmer Weiler and wife, Bev of Olney; sister, Carolyn Moran of Mt. Zion, IL; brother-in-law, Carl Hahn of Decatur, IL; 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Byron (Virginia) Weiler and Jack Lewis, sisters, Mary (Ray) Hahn, Pauline Hahn, and Millie (Bill) Vail, and brother-in-law, Joe Moran.
