Marion D. Bowen, 62 of Olney, died Monday, Jan. 26, 1998 in Olney.  Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Bowen was born July 22, 1935 in Richland County, the son of Clyde and Martha (Webber) Bowen. He married Jean Gentz Oct. 7, 1955.

He was a retired equipment installer for GTE. He was a member of Noble Christian Church, Masonic Lodge #140 A.F. & A.M. and Olney Elks.

He is survived by his wife of Olney; one son, Marion Dale Bowen, Jr. of San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Melanie Sluder and her husband, Rusty of Johnson City, Tenn. and Mitzi Tracy and her husband, Ronald of Olney; two brothers, Glenn Bowen of West Salem and Loy Bowen of Springfield; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
