Anita Toliver (Myers)

Anita M. Myers, 83, of Pawnee, Illinois  passed away Friday, July 22, 2016, at St. John's Hospital.  Funeral services at the Bramley Funeral Home in Auburn with burial at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.

She was born June 9, 1933, in Olney, Ill., the daughter of Luther and Bernice Bowlby Toliver. Anita married Dean Myers on April 15, 1954, and he preceded her in death on March 16, 1990.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Margaret Toliver; one granddaughter, Erika; and son-in-law, Jerry Mowrer.

She worked as a bookkeeper for Dr. Gam and Mowie's Cue. She was an avid reader and cookie baker. Anita enjoyed flowers, trips with her friends and spending time with her sister.

Her family is grateful for all the love and amazing memories that we have shared over the years.

Surviving are one daughter, Julia (Nick) Mowrer-Jannazzo of Rochester; two sons, Mark (Jennifer) Myers of Mt. Pulaski, and Todd (Lori) Myers of Pawnee; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Carol (Keith) Fouts of Princeton, Ind.; a niece and a nephew; and best friend, Karen Lamotte.
