Mina Halsey (Kapper)

Mina J. Kapper, 60 of Chatsworth, died at 3:27 p.m. Saturday April 23, 1994 at her residence. She had been ill.  Funeral Mass at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Piper City, the Revs. Dennis White and Charles Karl officiating. Burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Chatsworth.

Mina was born June 16, 1933, in Parkersburg, the daughter of Albert and Pearl Halsey Bauman. She married Edwin Kapper Sr. on Nov. 24, 1955, in Olney. He survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Edwin Jr., Sycamore, and Thomas, Madison, Wis.; two daughters, Janet Rich, Normal, and Cindy Hanauer, Bloomington; two brothers, George Halsey, Grayslake, and Alan Halsey, Charleston; and four grandchildren.

Three sisters and one brother preceded her in death.

Mrs. Kapper was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Piper City, and Fairbury Hospital Auxiliary. She was also a teller for the Citizens Bank, Chatsworth, for 12 years, last working in May 1992.
