Waldyne T. Seed, age 82 of Lawrenceville, passed away early Saturday morning, September 5, 2015 in Lawrenceville at the United Methodist Village-Main Campus. She was born May 24, 1933 in Olney, IL to Purl and Cora (Schrader) Gayer.

Waldyne married John W. Seed on September 3, 1954, and he preceded her in death in August of 2011.

She was a long-time member of the Church of God in Lawrenceville and had worked and retired from the Illinois Gas Company after 35 years of service.

Surviving family includes: one son, Jim Seed of Bridgeport; two grandchildren, Lorie Gaither and her husband Kris of Lawrenceville and Mark Seed of Los Angeles, CA; one great-granddaughter, Brooklynn Gaither of Lawrenceville; and one brother Dale Gayer and his wife Pat of Mt. Carmel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Purl and Cora Gayer; her husband, John Seed; two sisters, Mary Lou Hesler and Wanda Jones and one brother, Kenny Gayer.

A funeral service held at the Cunningham-Young Funeral Home in Lawrenceville.  Burial next to her husband in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
