Frederick Fiock

Frederick Delano Fiock, 83, of Montezuma, Indiana died Feb. 17, 2016, in Union Hospital Terre Haute. Services at Brown-Mack Funeral Home in Montezuma .  Military honors performed by Parke County veterans’ organizations. Burial in Oakland Cemetery, Montezuma.

He was born Dec. 27, 1932, in Olney, Ill., to Walter B. Fiock and Margaret Eyer Fiock. On Dec. 13, 1952, he married Barbara Ann Lewis Fiock in Montezuma.

He was a U.S. Marine veteran, serving during the Korean War period. He started working at Jones Cycle Shop in Olney, Ill. and also worked on small engines at his home in Olney. In 1970, he started Fiock Small Engines in Montezuma; was co-owner of Party Pak Liquors in Montezuma with his wife; was a member of the National Rifle Association, an avid NASCAR fan and past commander of the Albion American Legion, and was a member of the Newport American Legion and also was a member of the Parke Masonic Lodge #8.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Fiock; brother, Jim Fiock; and sister-in-law, Emma Lou Fiock.

He is survived by one son, James F. Fiock and Janet of Montezuma; two daughters, Mary Ann Market and her husband Jeff of Coloma, and Nancy R. McElroy of Montezuma; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Iris Lewis of Tavares, Fla.; brother-in-law, Kenneth Lewis of Rockville; two nieces and one nephew.
