Gloria A. Simmons, 65, of Lincoln, Illinois died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2000, at her home.

She was born Aug. 11, 1934, in Olney, the daughter of Floyd and Evelyn Eubanks McGregor. She married Richard "Dick" C. Simmons in 1954 in Olney.

Mrs. Simmons had been a secretary for Harris & Harris attorneys and for Emery Gaffney, CPA. She was affiliated with the Church of Christ in Lincoln.

Survivors: husband, Richard "Dick"; two sons, Timothy M. (wife, Sandi) Simmons and Sean P. Simmons, both of Dallas; two daughters, Sabrina A. (husband, Bruce) Piller of Dallas, and Kimberly B. (husband, Kent) of Tullahoma, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; mother, Evelyn Gibbs of Lincoln; and a brother, Dr. Jack McGregor of Monticello.

Services: Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln, the Rev. Larry Frier officiating. Burial: Union Cemetery, Lincoln.
