Miss Patricia Jane Utz, age 18, who resided with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Utz on East North Ave., passed away early Monday morning, June 15, 1953 at the family home, following an illness of several months.

Miss Utz was graduated from the East Richland High School with the class of 1952 and was a student in nurses training at the Macon and Decatur County Hospital in Decatur, when she became ill of lukemia.

Besides her parents, Ed and Sophie Utz, she is survived by three brothers, Gerald, Raymont and Fred Utz and one sister, Dorothy Dean, all of Olney. Her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.Fred Krumbrick, also survive. Her mother, Mrs. Sophie Utz was recently proclaimed Richland county's Mother of the Year.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Schaub-Porter Funeral Home, with burial at Haven Hill.
