Georgia D. Sechrest, 79 ,of Lawrenceville formerly of Olney passed away December 7, 2013 at United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville, IL.

Georgia was born June 29, 1934 in Xenia, IL to Russell and Maude (Dyer) Trainor. She married Dwight Sechrest on April 12, 1952, he preceded her in death.

Georgia loved to attend the sporting events that her grandchildren participated in as well as watching OCC basketball with her friends. She was also a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan. Georgia also enjoyed traveling and had treated several of her grandchildren to a trip to Disney World. She loved doting on her grandkids and she will be sorely missed by her entire family.

She is survived by daughter, Cynthia Hardesty & husband Steve of Flat Rock, IL; son, Tony Sechrest of Olney; son, Jay Sechrest of Olney; daughter-in-law, Bobbie Sechrest of Ocean Springs, MS; sisters, Sherry Boxley and husband Marc of Peoria, AZ and Dina Bare and husband Gerald of Calhoun; nine grandchildren; seven  great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Parents; husband; and son, Jeff Sechrest.
