Thomas J. Spillman, 63, of Monticello, Ind. formerly of Olney, died Friday April 18, 1997 at Monticello, Ind.  The body will be cremated and ashes interred at Crest Haven Cemetery in Claremont with military rites.

Spillman was born August 28, 1933 in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Wilbert and Cecille (Cline) Spillman.

He was retired from Northern Indiana Public Service Co. after 35 years of service. He was a 1952 graduate of Olney High School, U.S. Army Korean War veteran and a member of Monticello Eagles Lodge, VFW, AMVETS, Goodfellows, American Legion and NRA.

He is survived by one daughter, Thamatha J. Doughty of Albuquerque, NM; one brother, James Spillman of Olney; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
