William M. "Bill" Gardner, 58, of Olney died Monday August 9, 1993 in Memorial Medical Center at Springfield.  Graveside services and burial at Antioch Cemetery in Claremont.

Mr. Gardner was born July 29, 1935 in Olney, the son of William R. and Marie (Crum) Gardner. He married Marjorie Lathrop September 16, 1961 in Olney.

Mr. Gardner was retired. He worked for 40 years for the City of Olney Water Plant. He also owned and operated Uptown A-musements Ltd.

Mr. Gardner is survived by his wife, Marjorie Gardner of Olney; two daughters, Diann R. Gardner of St. Louis, Mo. and Susan A. Gardner of Carbondale; one sister, Lilian Blackwell of Bridgeport and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Gardner was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Wilma Hagar.
