Wilma Jean Ditch (Goss)

Wilma J. Goss, 79, of Olney, died at 9:15 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Burgin Manor in Olney.  Funeral services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Pastor Mike Baker officiating. Burial will in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Goss was born January 20, 1935, in Olney, the daughter of Walter and Nellie Wingert Ditch. She was married April 30, 1955, to Loren Keith Goss. He preceded her in death on May 27, 1993.

Wilma sold Avon for over 30 years. She worked as a cook at East Richland Middle School, and she was a superb homemaker and cook. Mrs. Goss was a loving wife and mother. She attended First Baptist Church in Olney, then later became a member of Antioch Christian Church. Wilma enjoyed church functions and spending time with friends and family.

Mrs. Goss is survived by a son, Mark Goss and wife Carla, of Claremont; daughter, Debra Martin and husband Lee, of Columbus, Ohio; brother, Alva Ditch, of Fairbanks, Alaska; sister, Bea Bander, of Seal Beach, Calif.; great-nephew, Larry Bander, of Danville, Ky., to whom she and Loren opened their home and hearts; stepgrandsons, Jeremy and Shawn Flanagan and their families; and several nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, Delbert, Shelby, Paul Hershel, and Everette Lee Ditch, and one sister, Freda Garvin Jordan
