Delor Edgar Beaulieu

Rev. Delor E. Beaulieu, 86, of Troy, Missouri went to be with his heavenly Father on Monday, December 14, 2020. He was born on October 23, 1934 in Ladysmith, WI to Abraham Edgar and Dorothy (Leighty) Beaulieu. 

He grew up with his three siblings in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, and the family later moved to Illinois when Delor was 10.  Delor Beaulieu graduated from Lincoln Christian College in Lincoln, IL. and started a ministry that lasted for about 60 years altogether. He preached at Dieterich Christian Church for 35 years, and also preached at Moscow Mills Christian Church and Harvester Christian Church - Troy campus in Missouri prior to retiring from the ministry.  He wore many hats in his lifetime, working for farmers and a lumber yard to put himself through college, driving a school bus at times, working in a doughnut factory, Wright's Furniture, J.M. Schultz Seed Co., driving over-the-road in a semi, and moving trucks around the country for Penske Corp. 

He married Myrna Clark in 1957 and to this union four children were born. Delor later married Sonja Cole Wood in 1979 in Lincoln, IL. She had two daughters.

Rev. Beaulieu was active in the community, serving on the Dieterich School Board, E-J Water Corp., and the Dieterich Ruritan Club.  Delor also served on the Effingham County Federal Housing Authority as well as Boy Scout troop leader for several years.

Survivors include his first wife, Myrna Beaulieu Beasley; brother, Philip Duane (Darlene) Beaulieu of Olney, IL; daughters: Mary McKean (special friend David Smith), Linda (Bob) Sponsel, Carol (Jim) Snyder; step-daughters: Melody Wood (Caleb Boone), Michele (Brian) Dodds; Grandchildren: Eric (LaKrisha) Brown, Lindsay (Dan) Jayne, Levi Whitehurst, Jamie (Jeremiah) Hanley, Miranda (Mike) Puyear, Amber (Aaron) Wetzel, Austin (special friend Eryn Lane) Beaulieu, and Andy Beaulieu. He is further survived by his great-grandchildren: Ashley, Nathan, and Zachary Brown, Mikayla, Gavin, and Lillyan Stone, Kaden and Madison Hanley, Grace Lang, and Benson Puyear and Aurora Wetzel, step-granddaughter, Olivia Dodds.   

Rev. Delor was preceded in death by his wife, Sonja Beaulieu; his son, Mike Beaulieu, and siblings: Edith Arlene Berry and Garnet Steury.
