Larry Lee Brummett, 45, Mattoon and formerly of Olney, was found dead about 8:30 a.m.,Tuesday, November 15, 1983 at his residence. The death was an apparent suicide. Services at Summers Funeral Home, Olney with burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Brummett was born December 19, 1937 in Wayne County, the son of Pearl J. "Slim" and Hattie (Gardner) Brummett, Sr.

He was a safety Supervisor for Central Illinois Public Service Co..; a member of the Elks Lodge in Mattoon and the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include two children, Tana Mason, Owensville, Ind. and Michelle Dining, St. Francisville; a sister, Elsie Amerman, Olney; his mother, Mrs. Hattie Brummett, Olney; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Pearl J. Brummett, Jr.
