Fred Stout - Class Of 1957 VIEW PROFILE

Fred Stout

Freddie Joe Stout, Sr., 60, of Mt. Carmel, died May 14, 2000 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.  Burial in Lick Prairie Cemetery.

Mr. Stout was born October 17, 1939 in Buncombe, the son of Fred Orien and Cecile (Henderson) Stout. After their death at a very young age, he was raised by his brother, Rae and his wife, Mary Stout. He married Betty Jane Wilson June 7, 1958 in Olney and she survives.

He worked for American Jersey Cattle Association for 19 years, where he had many very special Jersey friends and was able to start his own cattle marketing business of O'Glory Ltd. He raised and milked Jersey cattle for the first 20 years of his married life. He was a member of Bellmont Christian Church where he was a former Deacon and was a member of American Jersey Cattle Club.

His greatest accomplishment was his family. His one true love, his wife, Bet, as well as his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed his flowers, trees, fishing, traveling with his wife and spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Stout is survived by his wife, Betty Jane Stout of Mt. Carmel; two sons, Freddie Joe Stout Jr. and his wife, Kris of Mt. Carmel and Timothy Wilson Stout and his wife, Tammy of West Salem; one daughter, Cindy Carol Grundon and her husband, Bob of Olney; one brother, Oren Frank Stout of Olney; four sisters, Irene Lingle of Salem, Juanita Black of Buncombe, Gusta Kay Atkinson of Harrisburg and Almenda Farguahar of Harrisonburg, Virginia; six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Rae, Eugene and Rolla, two sisters, Wilma Sanders, Dee Henessey and Jewel Evelyn Stout.

Ann Weesner (King) (1960)

I well remember Fred in the halls of ERHS....he was a good person with a nice smile for everyone.
