Leo Mowrer

Leo Mowrer, 49, Claremont, died Wednesday, June 21, 1989 at Richland Memorial Hospital.  The body is being cremated.

Mr. Mowrer was born May 5, 1940 in Richland County, IL, the son of Onnalee and Helen (Bailey) Mowrer. He married Louise Novak on May 4, 1959 and she survives.

He was an owner and operator of Leo's Texaco from 1963 until 1976, when he became disabled.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons, Tony Mowrer and wife Marina of Riverside, CA, Matt Mowrer of Irving, TX, and Steve Mowrer and wife Angie of Paxton, IL; two daughters, Mrs. Jeff (Cathy) Sparks of Wheeler, IL and Mrs. Greg (Sandy) Neff of Franklin, IN; two brothers, Leon and wife Diana of Malvern, OH, and Lee and wife Zona of Baker, MT; two sisters, Lois Mowrer of Largo, FL and Mrs. Olen (Lora Jean) Riggsby of Mason, OH; his mother, Helen Mowrer of Largo, FL; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. His father and one infant brother, Leroy, preceded him in death.
