Frankland C. Ahlfield, Sr., 35, of Argenta formerly of Olney died Thursday December 20, 1973 at the Decatur Memorial Hospital.  Services at Dawson and Wikoff Funeral Home at Argenta with burial in Friends Creek cemetery at Argenta.

Mr. Ahlfield was born September 9, 1938 in Olney, the son of Clarence and Velma West Ahlfield. He was married to Elizabeth Goodlink in Shawneetown on September 29, 1956.  They were married from that date until his death in 1973.

Frank attended East Richland High School and played football while in school, being named to the All-Conference team his senior year.

He was a member of the Argenta United Methodist Church and Olney Lodge No. 140, A.F. & A.M. He moved from Olney five years ago and was employed by the Caterpillar Tractor Co.

Surviving are his wife; son, Frank Jr. and daughters, Amy Lynn and Vickie Jo all at home; parents of Olney; sister, Mrs. Jerry (Mitzi) Leist of Olney.
