Willard (Bud) Stoltz

Willard O. "Bud" Stoltz, 72, of Olney, died Sunday, January 10, 2010, at his residence.  Burial in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery in rural Claremont.

Mr. Stoltz was born November 23, 1937, in Richland County, the son of Lewis Samuel and Minta Margaret (Rigall) Stoltz. He married Shelby Jean Long Stoltz, daughter of Darrel and Leota Long, December 23, 1955.

He was employed by the U.S. Post Office for 35 years, delivering mail in Olney since 1964. He owned and operated Bud Stoltz Concrete Service for 37 years. He was a cement finisher for the Plasterers and Cement Masons Local 143 since 1993. He was a member of Olney Elks #926 for 45 years.

Mr. Stoltz is survived by his wife, Shelby Jean Long Stoltz, of Olney; daughter, Daryla Lea Stoltz Maxwell and her husband, Mark Maxwell, of Claremont; son, Scott Andrew Stoltz and his wife, Kerri Rose Buchanan Stoltz, of St. Louis, Mo.; one grandchild, Samuel Alan Maxwell; sister, Anna Margaret Mitchell and her husband, Loren Ray Hack Mitchell, of Olney; sister, Ada Mae Parrott and brother-in-law, Harmon Parrott, of Lawrenceville; sister, Esther Louise Moore, of Evansville, Ind.; sister, Belinda Kay Pottorff and her husband, Don Pottorff, of Kansas City, Mo.; sisters-in-law, Ida Marlene Stoltz, of Claremont, Phyllis Virginia Stoltz, of Sumner, and Melvia Rose Stoltz, of Claremont. He was an uncle, great-uncle, and a great-great-uncle to many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Samuel and Minta Margaret Stoltz; infant daughters, Julianna and Jeanne Lea; and three brothers, Harold Stoltz, Lewis Jr. Stoltz, and Gene Stoltz; and brother-in-law, Robert Moore.
