Don Steber

Donald Dee "Don" Steber Sr., 70, of Claremont, died Sunday, August 17, 2008, at his residence. A Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney.

Mr. Steber was born on November 24, 1937, in Olney, the son of James Edward and Mary E. (Everett) Steber.  He married Marjorie Mitchell on January 17, 1959. She survives.

Mr. Steber was a farmer and worked at Eagleson's in Olney for 43 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney. He was also a member of the Claremont Community Center and was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Steber, of Claremont; daughter, Elizabeth Paschal and her husband, Don, Sumner; son, Donnie Steber Jr. and his wife, Cathy, of Olney; daughter, Julia Thomas and her husband, Randy, of Claremont; son, John Steber and his friend, Kema Davis, of Olney; son, Tom Steber and his wife, Jill, of Claremont; daughter, Ellen Bollman and her husband, Alan, of Dundas; son, Tony Steber and his wife, Stacey, of Noble; son, Phillip Steber and his wife, Suzi, of Newton; daughter Stephenie Kuhl and her husband, Darrin, of Newton; son, Brett Steber and his wife, Jodi, of Claremont; daughter, Stacy Steber and her friend, Mark Herman, of Olney; twin brother, Ron Steber and his wife, Eleanor, of Claremont; sisters, Carolyn Inyart and her husband, Bill, of Sumner, Judy Spitz and her husband, Bill, of Olney, Janice Steber, of Charleston, Sharon Eckel and her husband, Keith, of Olney, Sandy Fehrenbacher and her husband, Gene, of Olney, Mary Beth Coan and her husband, Charlie, of Olney, and Debbie Crouch and her husband, Richard, of Olney; sister-in-law, Anita Steber, of Olney; 40 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, James Allen Steber, daughter, Rebecca Ann, and great-grandson, Samuel Swartzbaugh.
