Naomi Ruth Long, 71, of Belleville and formerly of Olney, died Thursday, April 16, 2009, at Belleville Memorial Hospital in Belleville.  Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

Mrs. Long was born on October 6, 1937, in St. Clair County, the daughter of Henry W. and Alvina E. (Rider) Cremeens. She married Walter D. Long on February 12, 1957. He preceded her in death on March 10, 2005.

She was a bookkeeper for Richardson Electric.

Mrs. Long is survived by her daughter, Julie Potts and her husband, Bradley, of Belleville; grandchildren, Samantha and Coty Seals, of Vincennes, Ind.; and grandson, Timothy Potts, of Belleville.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Vivian Seals; and brother, Norman W. Cremeens.
