Carolyn Black (Bare)

Carolyn Sue Bare, 74, of Olney, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Funeral services at First Assembly of God Church in Olney with Reverend Paul Goss officiating.

Carolyn was born September 13, 1937, in Olney, the daughter of James Wilson Black and Blanche Eunice (Thomas) Black. She married Donald “Don” Bare.

She was a member of First Assembly of God in Olney involved in Women's Ministries and church organist. She helped start the Parents and Friends of Handicap Organization, she was a community volunteer with handicapped and a caregiver for elderly and handicapped. Carolyn worked as a Line Type Operator at the newspaper for 17 years, along with several other jobs over her life's span. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Don, of Olney; daughter, Lori Hundley, of Olney; brothers Jim Black and his wife, Lynda, of Nashville, Tenn., and Bill Black and his wife, Earlene, of Olney; and grandson, Matt Hundley, of Olney.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Blanche Black, and her son, Kevin Bare.
