Buddy R. Warren

Russell R. "Bud" Warren, 66, of Fairfield, died Friday, March 30, 2012, at his residence.  Funeral services at Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield. Burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Bud was born June 13, 1945, in Olney, to John E. and Rachel (Mayberry) Warren. He married Kathy (Grosse) Warren on March 24, 1972, in Bradenton, Fla.

He was a mud and chemical engineer for Franklin Well Service in Lawrenceville. He served as a combat medic and evacuation NCO for the U.S. Army in Viet Nam. He received three Presidential Unit Citations and a Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry while serving. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of American Legion in Avon, Ind.

Bud is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kathy, of Fairfield; sons, Scott (Molly) Warren, of Evansville, Ind., John (Amy) Warren, of Tomball, Texas, Bobby (Kayla) Warren, of Fairfield, and Buddy (Nikki) Woods, of Claremont; daughters, Kassandra (John) Gerard, of Coos Bay, Ore., Billye Jon (Mike) Senecal, of Industry, Maine, and Jerri Dawn (Gene) Allen, of Sumner; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Jerry (Kay) Warren, of Avon, Ind., and Bill (Tina) Warren, of Olney; sisters, Ruth Warren, of Olney, and Phyllis Amerman, of Elkhart, Ind.; sister-in-law, Opal Warren, of Fairfield; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rachel Warren, and brothers, Charles, Ralph, Don and John.
