Sherman D. Tarpley, 70 of Naples, Florida passed away April 2, 2016 in Florida as a result of brain cancer.  Sherman was retired.

The family met for a memorial service on Sunday, April 17 at 2 p.m. at the Bonpas Creek Bridge near Berryville, Illinois and his ashes were scattered in Bonpas Creek.

Sherman was born in Richland County October 17, 1945 a son of George W. and Nora B. (Quillen) Tarpley.  He married Connie Perry of West Salem and she survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Connie Perry Tarpley are sons, Cary and Timothy; daughter, Diana; siblings, Charles Tarpley, Donald Tarpley, Raymond Tarpley, George Marion Tarpley, Linda Tarpley Kerber and Ruth Tarpley Thomas.

Sherman was preceded in death by his parents, George and Nora Tarpley.
