Harla Sue Petty (Lenear)

Sue (Petty) Lenear, 76, of Olney, passed away January 7, 2022 at her residence.  Sue Lenear was born July 14, 1945 in Richland Co., IL to Harl and Alta Mae (Huston) Petty. She married Virgil P. Lenear on June 7, 1964 in Richland Co., IL.

Sue enjoyed reading, cooking, and making crafts with her family and grandchildren. She also was an avid animal lover. She worked for many years as an office manager at Richland Memorial Hospital Outpatient Clinic. Sue loved babysitting her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was an extremely loyal friend and welcomed everyone into her home and made them a part of her family. Sue's generosity and kindness will be deeply missed by all those that knew her.

Sue Lenear is survived by husband of 57 years, Virgil P. Lenear of Olney; son, Micheal Lenear of Olney; daughter, Tammy Ochs and husband James of Claremont; daughter, Martha Pillsbury and husband James of MI; son, Matthew Lenear of Olney; grandchildren, Mandy Martin, Kelsie Barnes, Victoria Lenear, Macy Sorrell, Quentin Pillsbury, Anthony Ochs, Alex Lenear, and Tianna Pillsbury; great grandchildren, GraceLynn Martin, Zachary Sorrell, Jonalyn Martin, Madeline Sorrell, Carson Barnes, and Aria Lenear; brother, Clinton Petty of KS; and numerous nieces and nephews. .

She was preceded in death by parents; brothers, Gerald "Butch" Petty, Harl Petty Jr., and William Petty; and sisters, Patricia Jackson and Alta Lou Petty.

Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney is in charge of arrangements. A funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on January 12, 2022 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney. A visitation will be one hour before service time at the funeral home. Interment will take place on January 12, 2022 at Crest Haven Memorial Park.
