Michael A. Kocher Class of 1963Michael Alan Kocher died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 3, 2016 in Arizona at the age of 70. He was born to Robert N. and Bernadette Kocher on July 18, 1945 and resided in Claremont and Bouse, Arizona. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard for six years and retired after 30 years at UPS in Olney.

Mike was a staunch Republican and devoted Catholic who loved family get-togethers, motorcycles, farming, guns, camping, home-cooking and anything sweet, daily coffee with friends at McDonald's, cats, and country life.

He is survived by his soulmate and wife of 50 years, Eloise (Keller) Kocher; daughter Michelle (Tom) Goldsmith of Houston, Texas; daughter Amy (Chris) Bartling of New Port Richey, Florida; granddaughters Haley Bartling and Alexa Bartling; brother Ed (Sue) Kocher; brother Jan (Judy) Kocher; sister Judy (Gary) Fehrenbacher; sister Joan (Dave) Buerster; brother Jeff (Diane) Kocher; brother Tim (Paula) Kocher; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends. He never met a stranger and will be sorely missed by all.

He was preceded in death by father Robert N. Kocher, infant brother Joseph Kocher, mother-and father-in-law Elmer and Delores Keller, and brothers-in-law Larry Keller, Keith Keller, and Roman Farquahar.

Visitation April 15 from 6-8 p.m. at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home.  Mass of Christian Burial April 16 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stringtown with burial in the church cemetery in Stringtown.

Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Church Stringtown, St. Joseph Olney Building Fund, or to the charity of your choice.
