Sonja Gail (Jones) Simms, 70, of Brandon, Florida died on June 22, 2015. Services at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home in Brandon.

She is survived by her husband Michael Simms; daughter Michelle Cowan Carolan; grandchildren Danielle and Freddie Carolan; sister Judy Hinton, as well, she was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Sonja loved to dance and sing and watch her favorite shows. She enjoyed laughing with her husband and they delighted in the company of their grandchildren. Her Christian faith was strong and she will be most remembered for her sweet, tender heart and the kind words she shared to many.

She worked as a customer service representative for many years and dutifully handled many peoples questions and concerns with grace and great efficiency.
