William J. Teel

William John "Bill" Teel, 66, of St. Marys, Ga., formerly of OIney, died Thursday, November 17, 2005, at The Villages near Leesburg, Fla.  Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with Bob Teel officiating. Burial in Eureka Cemetery in rural Claremont with full military rites by OIney Veterans organizations.

Mr. Teel was born February 12, 1939, in Porter Township, Midland County, MI, the son of John William and Zeta Irene (Colthorp) Teel.

He was a truck driver.

Mr. Teel graduated from East Richland High School in 1957. He served in the armed forces from 1963 until 1969, most of which was served in Hawaii. His job as a truck driver took him all over the United States. He lived in St. Marys for the last five years and was a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by a son, John Christopher Teel of Tucson, Ariz.; a daughter, Marian Diane Hanna of Urbana; a sister, Janice Crites and her husband, Kenny, of OIney; a half brother, Bob Teel and his wife, Linda, of Springfield; his stepmother, Rose Teel of OIney; three nephews; two nieces; four great-nephews; and three great-nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
