Beverly Hahn (Bowers)

Beverly A. Bowers, 70, of Jerseyville, and formerly of Hardin, died Sunday, May 23, 2010, at her home in Jerseyville.  Burial in St. Norbert Cemetery in Hardin.

Mrs. Bowers was born June 13, 1939, in Olney, the daughter of the late Enoch F. and Clara L. (Mosser) Hahn. She married Joseph B. "Joe" Bowers on November 5, 1960, in Olney. He survives.

She was a retired registered nurse. She started working at Illini Hospital in Pittsfield and continued her career at Jersey Community Hospital in Jerseyville where she retired after more than 40 years in nursing. She was a member of Holy Ghost-St. Frances Catholic Church in Jerseyville and St. Norbert Catholic Church in Hardin.

Mrs. Bowers is survived by her husband, Joseph "Joe" Bowers; son, Mark A. (Shelly) Bowers, of Hardin; four daughters, Carrie F. Kamp, of O'Fallon, Mo., Debbie J. (Bob) Simon, of Hardin, Shelly A. (Kenny) Sievers, of Batchtown, and Kris K. (Kevin) Blumenberg, of Hardin; 12 grandchildren, Nick, Nathaniel, Andrew, Caroline, Megan, Hannah, Katie, Anne-Marie, Evan, Mitchell, Rachel and Ryan; five great-grandchildren, Chandler, Mackenzie, Haleigh, Veyah, and Morgan; brother, Tim Hahn, of Paris; sister, Angela Doll, of Olney; and sister-in-law, Janice Hahn, of Evansville, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Enoch F. and Clara L. Hahn; brother, Rick Hahn; nephew, David Hahn; and grandson, Derek Blumenberg.
